ENTERING YOUR TEAM

How Do You Register

  • Fill in the Team Registration Form - list all of your paddlers and appoint a team captain and alternate captain.
  • Each member of your team must sign a separate waiver BEFORE they can set foot in a Dragon Boat canoe. Waivers forms are available on this web site in the registration forms section or by e-mailing a request to Bill LaRose at: bill.larose@sympatico.ca
  • Send your registration fee for $875.00 or deposit of $200.00 (No GST charged) along with your team registration application to Kiwanis Club of Elmira, Inc., Box 171, Elmira, Ont. N3B 2Z6. If you have your own QUALIFIED steersperson you receive a $125 discount on your registration ($750) Any outstanding Registration Fees must be paid by July 7th, 2008 unless otherwise arranged with Bill LaRose.
  • View the available practice times on the website under Bulletin Board then call Bill LaRose at (519) 897-4487 or e-mail at bill.larose@sympatico.ca to book practice times for your team at the Laurel Creek Conservation Area. A Kiwanis member will assist with training your crew if this is your first experience with dragon boating. You will need all your waivers signed before any person is allowed in the Dragon Boat. You can bring them with your Team List for your first practice.
  • A qualified steersperson must steer the dragon boat. Steerspersons are provided free of charge if your team does not have one. If you have your own qualified steersperson you will receive a $100 discount off your Team Registration Fee
  • Get ready to have a great day at the 8th Annual Kiwanis Dragon Boat Festival of Waterloo Region.
    • *Registration fee must be paid in full by July 7, 2008 unless otherwise arranged.
